Control 2014 – World Class Quality Assurance

The Control international trade fair for quality assurance was held in Stuttgart from the 6^th through the 9^th of May, 2014. The 28^th edition of this internationally esteemed industry meeting place was characterised entirely by good economic conditions. In addition to this, industrial quality assurance plays a key role in most of today’s companies, and serves as a central thread which runs through all of their processes. Due to the fact that globalised production needs to meet the same high levels in all involved industrialised nations and emerging countries, corresponding hardware and software is required at all locations.

Control is without a doubt the decisive information, communication and business platform for making decisions with regard to investments in quality assurance. And thus it’s no wonder that Control 2014 has experienced significant and lasting growth in all respects. More exhibitors, more exhibition floor space, more expert visitors, higher percentages of foreign exhibitors and expert visitors, more concrete business deals and all-in-all more added value for exhibitors and expert visitors because according to statements from numerous manufacturers and distributors, pending purchasing decisions are intentionally scheduled to coincide with Control!

A further indicator of the of the great importance placed upon the Control international trade fair for quality assurance is the abundance of products premiered at the event covering all aspects of industrial quality assurance, of which there were roughly 20 this year. Due to the fact that streamlined, meaningful quality assurance is becoming a competitive factor to an ever greater extent, companies are well advised to procure the latest QA technologies and processes, in order to maintain a sharp competitive edge and to hone it even further.

The overall picture which results from the above mentioned statements issued by the manufacturers and distributors, i.e. the exhibitors, is as follows: large numbers of high quality expert visitors, significant increase in new customers, most successful trade fair since initial participation, up to 30% more expert visitors, most important trade fair for the industry sector, comprehensive offerings which draw international customers, top expert visitors from the target groups, Control remains true to its unique trade fair concept but nevertheless renews itself each year.

Not least of all, thanks to greatly expanded offerings in the field of image processing and vision systems, as well as the highly attractive supplementary programme, it was possible to address additional target groups on the one hand, as well as qualified expert visitors from both inside and outside of Germany, thus finally resulting in maximised acceptance with 25,445 expert visitors from 89 countries. The 28^thControl was also distinguished by the presentation of the Baden-Württemberg Award for Competence in Innovation and Quality to Bemotec GmbH from Reutlingen, Germany, in the “company” category and Alfred Theodor Ritter of Alfred Ritter GmbH in the “Business Personality” category.

The next Control international trade fair for quality assurance will take place in Stuttgart from the 5^ththrough the 9^th of May, 2015.
